Dr. Hodgson completed his doctoral training in medical engineering through the Division of Health Sciences and Technology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University in Cambridge, MA. He carried out his experiments in human motor control in the Laboratory for Biomechanics and Human Rehabilitation in the mechanical engineering department at MIT.He did a postdoctoral fellowship in bioengineering at Clemson University where he worked on issues in orthopedic surgery and trauma surgery, prior to being appointed as assistant professor at the University of British Columbia in 1995.Dr. Hodgson is currently an associate professor of mechanical engineering at UBC and is the Director of the UBC Neuromotor Control Lab at the Centre for Integrated Computing Systems Research. |

In December of 2006, Mr. Lalani completed his master’s of engineering at the Xerox Center for Engineering, Entrepreneurship and Innovation (XCEEi) at McMaster University, where he worked on the Navi C concept as his thesis before it was jointly spun-out of the University of British Columbia and McMaster University.Prior to joining XCEEi, Mr. Lalani graduated from McGill University in 2001 with an undergraduate degree in Biosystems Engineering.Mr. Lalani is currently an advisor to the engineers at the Xerox Center for Engineering, Entrepreneurship and Innovation at McMaster University. |

Mr. Person joins Navi C through the Navi C partnership with Tangent Design Engineering Ltd., where is the Vice President.Mr. Person completed his master's of engineering at the University of British Columbia, and has designed mechanical systems for products in industries ranging from medical devices, aircraft support, oil field exploration, and consumer products. Mr. Person has been a design engineer at such notable companies as GDL Innovation and Imaging Dynamics. |

Ms. Findlay joins Navi C through the Navi C partnership with the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), where she is a Project Leader.Ms. Findlay has over twenty years experience as a biomedical engineer in the research and development of new medical technologies. She has a Masters degree in applied science from UBC. Judy took a leave from BCIT to join the start-up Pyng Medical as VP Engineering in 1994. For Pyng Judy co-led and co-executed the development of the FAST1 system, an intraosseous infusion system, which is a successful lifesaving technology used by first responders and emergency staff world-wide. From 2000 to 2003, Judy took on the role of CEO for Pyng Medical.Now, Ms. Findlay focuses on leading new medical device development projects that have commercial potential. Awards and recognition include the Meritorious Achievement Award from the Association of Professional Engineers (2001), Business in Vancouver’s Top 40 under 40 (2000), and the Medical Design Excellence Award for the FAST 1 (2000). |

Mr. Keane joins Navi C through the Navi C partnership with the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), where he is a researcher and product designer.Mr. Keane graduated in Industrial Design in London
England when the Beatles were still together. He therefore has had the
past 30 years to acquire and develop an impressive resume of technical
knowledge and manufacturing experience.

Mr. Thiessen joins Navi C through the Navi C partnership with the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), where he is a robotics and automation product developer.Mr. Thiessen has a
Bachelor's degree from the University of Alberta and also is a BCIT
graduate of two diploma programs. The first, in Mechanical Engineering
Technology, was completed in 1981. The second diploma, in Robotics and
Automation, was completed in 1987. The combination of these two diplomas
gives Mr. Thiessen a diverse background in both mechanical and electronic
systems.

Dr. Loutfy is the founder and director of the Xerox Center for Engineering, Entrepreneurship and Innovation at McMaster University. A business executive and entrepreneur, Dr. Loutfy brings 30 years of managing technology and innovation to his work.Dr. Loutfy's previous experience with Xerox Corporation included progressive management positions in research, development, business and strategy development. He also served as manager of the Xerox Research Centre of Canada where breakthrough imaging materials, research and technology for the corporation were developed.Most recently Dr. Loutfy held the position of Corporate Vice President and Director of the Xerox Research Centre of Canada (XRCC). He received his Ph.D. from the University of Western Ontario and an MBA from the University of Toronto. Dr. Loutfy holds more than 43 patents and has published more than 166 articles. |

Dr. Regazzoni is an internationally recognized orthopedic surgeon, and is well respected for his innovations in the field of orthopedic implants, real-time CT scanning, computer- assisted surgery and computer-assisted radiology.Dr. Regazzoni completed his medical studies in 1969 and became a board-certified orthopedic surgeon in 1975, both at the University of Basel in Switzerland. In 1984 he became an assistant professor of trauma surgery and since 1985, Dr. Regazzoni has been the Head of Trauma Surgery at the University of Basel.Dr. Regazzoni is currently a member of the Academic Council of the AO Foundation, as well the Chairman of the AO Development Board – the world’s foremost centre for research, development and innovation in the field of orthopedic surgery. |
